Nerd alert

This is an illustration of a Neil Gaiman short story from his book "Smoke and Mirrors." It's about a couple who receive a mystery wedding present that is essentially a piece of typed paper that describes their wedding. As the years go by it changes every time they look at it to instead describe their marriage, but the alternate universe awful version of their marriage where they hate each other and are alcoholics.

I was going to be a creeper fan girl when Neil Gaiman and his wife Amanda Palmer came through Seattle on tour by giving them a print but I was flat broke at the time. Opportunity missed! Ah well. Maybe I'll make a print and mail it to them.

I would like to take this opportunity to show you guys my super fancy lightbox. I pay 622.50 a month for it, soo...I'm kind of a big deal. Unfortunately because I live in Seattle it only works between the months of June and October, but, hey, only the BEST for my art.

Try to contain your jealousy, please.

  2. I know, right? You'd think they would have fixed that issue in the new models by now, but, nooooo. And even then, summer is not always a quarantee! I WANT MY MONEY BACK.
